A modern take on the classic capstan pepper mill, made from sustainably sourced beech with a dark stain, this pepper mill adds style to any table whilst remaining an everyday kitchen tool. Made from high grade sustainably sourced beech and stained to a darker tone, this makes them great for keeping on display in the kitchen or dining room whilst also remaining invaluable every day cooking tools. They are ideal for anyone who enjoys the taste and flavour of freshly ground seasoning as they feature the Cole & Mason Precision grinding mechanisms – carbon steel for pepper that strips peppercorns instead of crushing them, ensuring maximum flavour release from every turn. Fill the mills with your favourite whole peppercorns or coarse salt by unscrewing the knob on the top and removing the wooden top. The stainless steel collar helps funnel the fill into the mill. Once filled, replace the top and knob. The knob can also be used to adjust the grind size from fine to coarse. For a finer grind, tighten the knob. This is great for soups and sauces. A coarser grind is great for steaks, simply loosen the knob until you reach your desired setting. If your mill becomes difficult to grind, particularly on a fine setting, trying clearing the mechanism. Turn the mill upside down, loosen the knob to the coarsest setting and twist the top. This will free any large peppercorns or salt crystals that may have become lodged. Retighten the knob to the desired setting.
