This set of salt and pepper mills feature the grinding mechanism at the top so you invert them to grind. This guarantees your worktops and dining table remain clean. The pepper mill comes with the Cole & Mason Precision carbon steel mechanism that strips rather than crushes peppercorns to release their natural oils and more flavour. The salt mill comes with the Precision ceramic mechanism, diamond-sharp for an accurate grind every time. Both mills come with pre-selected grind settings from fine to coarse, five settings for pepper and three for salt. Coarse settings are ideal for steak, medium for pizzas and fine for soups and sauces. To adjust the grind, simply twist the black textured band to move the arrow to line up with your preferred grind size. When you need to refill, simple unscrew the cap from the base of the mill and fill up with whole peppercorns or coarse salt to the maximum fill indicator then replace the cap and start grinding.
