This earthen clay pot is one of Asias oldest cooking vessels. ToTT Japanese shallow Casserole With Cover is made out of clay with properties ideal for operating at high temperatures during high heat cooking. It builds up heat slowly (similar to a slow-cooker, may take a longer time to initially heat up) but it keeps heat effective once it is at peak temperature. Claypot cookware can be used over an open flame or in an oven (without the lid). The cookware heat very evenly and retain heat for a long period thus making food tastier and healthier.
